Frequently Asked Questions
How do I create my secure client account? +
You need to accept the invite sent to your email to initiate your account. The initial invite is only valid for 30 days, so contact us if you need a new invitation.
How do I access portals for different accounts (individual, trust, business)? +
You only need one login to access all accounts. Click here to view a quick tutorial on accessing multiple accounts and uploading documents to the corresponding account.
When I log in, I only see a few files listed. How do I find the rest? +
You may be looking at the 'recent files' section. Navigate to the full 'Files' section instead. Click here to view a tutorial on locating files.
Can you create a 2025 folder for me if I don't see one? +
Yes, but no need to contact us ahead of time. Simply upload your files to the corresponding client portal and staff will sort them into the appropriate tax year folder.
Does an empty 'to do' list mean you have everything you need from me? +
No. The firm is not currently using this function of the client portal. Staff will still send questions via email outside the secure portal.
Can I just email my tax documents or receive tax returns by email? +
No. The firm cannot stress enough the importance of using only secure methods for transmitting sensitive documents. They will never send such documents as regular email attachments.
What payment methods do you accept? +
Payment by check, ACH, credit or debit card is accepted through the Client Portal, with the first two being strongly preferred.
Can I deliver physical tax documents instead of using the portal? +
Yes, you can always deliver physical tax documents to the office and receive physical tax returns if you do not wish to use the secure portal.
